Hi,
I've been trying out theis GREAT product, but I have a problem. My phone seems to be hanging at "requestion SSH2 session" step. And I think it might have something to do with the way it uses the connection manager in windows mobile.
It resolves the hostname, and says "connected to ***.***.***.***".
Then says
"requesting SSH2 session" and shows the little round, red/blye/green/yellow "windows mobile is working" icon in the middle of the screen. And then nothing happens.
The funny thing is, that I've actually had it working for a few days. And I have not changed my session settings since. All my other internet applications are working fine. Messenger, Skype, YouTube all work fine.
Any suggestions?
Any way to enable debug logging?
Thanx for at great product! Really hope I get this solved out.
The "Requesting..." message is shown when Token2Shell/Mobile has started key exchange procedure. If Token2Shell/Mobile hangs at that point, it could be a bug in Token2Shell not properly interpreting the messages from the server, or the server is sending incomplete messages and Token2Shell is simply waiting for more.
Can you tell us the version of SSH server you are using? (You can find this information by connecting to your server in TELNET mode on port number 22. When you are connected you should see something like "SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_4.7".)
Also, since the problem is occurred during the key exchange step, you may try changing the order of the key exchange methods in Token2Shell, or try enabling only the method you wish to use. The key exchange options are found under [ Menu ] -> [ Options ] -> [ Connection Defaults ] -> [ SSH2 ] -> "Key Exchange Methods". When the selection window pops up, you can enable/disable a method by pressing <Enter>(= center navigation button), or change the order by pressing left/right navigation button. (If you are using an address book entry, you need to change the option of that entry.)
Anyhow, we'll look into the problem more thoroughly and see if there is any bug in Token2Shell/Mobile.
Thank you.

Hi,
I want to start with saying I really like this software. For me the full screen functionality is one of the key features. Thank you for the detailed work you have put in to create token2shell.
I have the same issue where most of the time it is hanging at "requesting SSH2 session" and than I believe it times out and I get "Session closed".
I have moved around the "Key Exchange Methods" but it didn't seem to help.
I am now using your software mainly for Telnet which works flawlessly. It would turn in to the most important piece of software on my mobile if I could get it to work more often with SSH2.
I am using a Kaiser on UK T-Mobile connection. With a laptop connected to the phone, I seem to SSH ok. So I dont think it is my connection. But everything is a possibility. since this issue comes and goes.
Kind Regards

We found the problem! :-) When Token2Shell/Mobile connects to an OpenSSH server, Token2Shell/Mobile sends the first key exchange message a bit too early and the message gets ignored or lost. And since the server never got the first message, it waits and Token2Shell/Mobile very surely sent the first message, it also waits... and then the session times out.
Anyhow, we'll address this issue in the upcoming release.
Thank you.

Hi,
I have just downloaded your software again to give it another try. It seems really fast now with the connection. Thank you for your fast response and solving this issue. I ll try to use it regularly and see how it goes (since things stop working when you really need them -most of the time. :).. )
Kind Regards
