Keybar usage and navigation through emulated screens

I have just upgraded from MToken to Token2Shell/Mobile and the first thing I noticed was that I can no longer easily use the escape key on the keybar when navigating through the emulated screens in a telnet session. Adtran equipment uses these menu based screens to navigate through the equipment and now in order to escape out of one screen to a previous screen I have to go hunt for the keybar. Mtoken had this always available and ready to use right along with the integrated keyboard. I noticed that I can pin the keybar to the screen with the small pin in the lower right hand corner, but this is kind of pointless because it locks the whole screen until I give it a command and then unpin the keybar again. If i didn't have to use the full screen option then obviously using the keyboard is easier. but why have the full screen option? Is there any solution that I am missing. I am trying to demo this application to my technical team in the next week or so and maybe have them all start using it. I hope there is a way to make pinning the keybar to the screen a little more useful and still access the main smart touch screen.

Have you tried remapping one of your hardware buttons to act as an ESC key in Token2Shell/Mobile? If your device supports remapping of its hardware buttons, you don't even need to use the Keybar for ESC key.

Go to [ Start ] -> [ Settings ] -> [ Personal ] -> [ Buttons ] and confirm which button you wish to reassign as an ESC key. Start Token2Shell/Mobile and go to [ Menu ] -> [ Options ] -> [ General ] and you should find the same hardware button under "Hardware Button Mappings". Select that option item and change it to "ESC".

The button assignment in Token2Shell/Mobile is only active during a session. When you close the connection, the button assignment will revert back to its original.

Please note that not all Windows Mobile devices support this remapping. Hence, even if you can confirm a hardware button in [ Start ] -> [ Settings ] -> [ Personal ] -> [ Buttons ], you still might not be able to use it in Token2Shell/Mobile. (Related Topic: http://choung.net/data/node/29)

Also, if your device has two menu buttons below the screen that are mapped to on-screen soft menus, you can still use that left button in full screen mode to bring up the Keybar.

Mtoken had this always available and ready to use right along with the integrated keyboard. I noticed that I can pin the keybar to the screen with the small pin in the lower right hand corner, but this is kind of pointless because it locks the whole screen until I give it a command and then unpin the keybar again.

That behavior of Token2Shell/Mobile was decided to maintain consistency between Standard(non-touch screen) and Professional(touch screen) device. But we are fully aware of the issue and we'll try our best to resolve it as soon as possible.
