Mouse issues

Hi!

I've noticed that transmitting the mouse position via xterm extensions is not consistently working, at least for me. It does not work when using Midnight Commander (mc), but it does work when using vim. I downloaded the Windows version, and found the exact same problem. When connecting to the same remote system using PocketPutty or plain old Putty on Windows, the mouse events are transmitted to 'mc'.

As 'mc' is featured in the application screenshots and it's a very nice way of moving around the system directories, I was wondering if someone or support knew how to fix this.

Thanks!

Can you tell us the name and version of your remote server OS?
Also the version of the 'mc' you are using?

If we can recreate the problem on our testing system, we surely
will fix it in the next release! :-)

Hi!

Sorry for the delay. I have tried this on several remote systems running Debian testing, with the 4.6.2 mc version and Ubuntu 9.04 with the same mc version. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Thank you! We were able to reproduce the problem on our testing system and it seems Token2Shell is incorrectly decoding the control sequence from that version of MC. We'll look into the problem more thoroughly and have it fixed as soon as possible.

For your information, our primary UNIX testing environment is FreeBSD and we are currently using the following MC port(4.1.40-pre9):

http://mc.linuxinside.com/cgi-bin/dir.cgi

In this MC version, we are having no problem using mouse XTerm extensions with Token2Shell or Token2Shell/Mobile.

The problem has been fixed in version 5.3.0/Desktop and 5.2.1/Mobile.

In the desktop version, you can now also use right-click and scroll-wheel with MC. In MC, right-clicking selects/unselects items and scroll-wheel scrolls the file/folder list content. While in MC, if you need to access Token2Shell right-click popup menu, press <Shift> key while clicking the right mouse button.
